Quick AAR for last months Lord of the Rings game or should I say MESBG ( Middle earth strategy battle game as it is called now ).

Set in Osgiliath the battle saw the orcs attacking against the forces of Gondor / Minas Tirith armoured warriors supported by Ranger allies.

This was an introductory game for a number of people who had not played before, so the forces and characters were kept simple 3 characters and approx. 30 infantry each side 

The rule system is probably the one GW rule set that actually works and gives a good game.

The figures were 28mm Games Workshop from their release circa 2000 to co-inside with the hobbit trilogy of films 

The range of figures is truly extensive and the sculpts are excellent  --- Many Perry creations 

The scenery was a scratch built table I made for games workshop over 20+ years ago -- which was used as a shop display.
